The 345th is segmented into four units:

• The 498th or The Falcons
• The 499th or The Bats Outta Hell
• The 500th or The Rough Raiders
• The 501st or The Black Panthers

Welcome to the 345th Bomb Group's Website

The 345th Bomb Group was first activated at Columbia Army Air Base, SC, in November 1942. These "Air Apaches" operated primarily in the Southwest Pacific Theater as a B-25 Mitchell medium bomber unit. The Unit was awarded four United States Distinguished Unit Citations and is one of the most decorated units of WWII.
